Starbucks VIA Jul 17, 2010 This is some lousy instant coffee and it taste awful. Plus, a 3-pack for $4.65? They are not selling gold here! Their high prices for some tiny little bags of instant coffee is not very economical. It must be considered a high status symbol to be drinking anything that is from Starbucks.

Not bad, not great, expensive Jun 20, 2010 I've tried the Italian roast and the Columbian. I drink it black. It's not even close to a good, fresh, strong brew in the shop, but it's probably better than most other instants. Is a cup worth a dollar? I can't make myself say yes -- it really depends on how out of reach a cup of the real thing is, and how badly you want a cup of coffee.

Instant Coffee???? Nov 14, 2009 I am a coffee drinker who considered instant coffee flavored water rather than coffee. Recently I was in a Costco where samples of the Starbucks instant coffee being served. I tried it and was amazed at the full flavor of this coffee.
It's a little pricey to drink it every day but it will be going on the road with me and I will be saying good-bye to the bad hotel coffee.

Unbelievably GOOD coffee! Sep 30, 2009 I have to admit that the 20 years Starbucks says it devoted to developing an instant coffee worthy of the "Starbucks" name was time well spent. Whatever they did and however they did it, Starbucks has managed to create a super-rich tasting instant coffee that could easily be mistaken for their traditionally brewed coffee. The popular dark (Italian) and mild (Colombian) flavors are offered in very classy looking plastic pouches that conveniently turn 8oz of hot water into the best tasting instant coffee you've ever had. In fact, I had a difficult time telling it from their brewed coffee, and normally that's all I ever buy there. Although the price is a bit high - almost a $1 a cup - it's still a great alternative when you just can't find a walk-in store. I see a few packets taking cross-country flights with me, as well as stuffing a handful into my backpack when I camp. Heck, I'll never have to drink hotel-room coffee again! Hey Starbucks - when can I expect a "decaf" version?
